Hey guys,

I just have a question about QFF and some Finnair flights I have booked.

I have just booked HKG-HEL-WAW and return in what I think is Discount Economy for August. I checked the QFF Airline points and SC earning chart and Finnair doesnt seem to have Discount Ecomomy - only Business and Economy. I have an S class ticket which falls under Economy for Finnair - does this mean I will earn status credits at the Ecomomy rate, not the Discount Economy rate?

Has anyone actually flown Finnair and had the same situation?

Nick.

I had a number of AY flights in economy when they had the tag flights BKK-SIN a few years ago and the SCs earn was discount economy.

As a rule of thumb on international flights (on any carrier with eligible flight) only full 'Y' earns full economy SCs. All other economy classes are discount economy earning for SCs purposes.

Thats a poor rule IMHO. But what can you do :)

'tis Qantas' thumb ... :-|

Basically with oneworld partners, if an economy flight is deemed eligible for earning then, unless it's actually booked in Y, it earns "Discount Economy" SC's.
