Redeeming vouchers can provide more value for points, instead of items or flights.
If you redeem points for flights, this can work out to be more costly (in terms of $-to-point ratio) than redeem for say, grocery vouchers (eg. Woolworths). Not to mention the fact that you can't earn points on redeemed flights...!

I did a quick research today for specific vouchers I am interetsed in.
Again these are the shops I would normally shop at on a regular basis, especially Woolies and Caltex for petrol. I get a few hundred dollars every quarter or so~!

I've put my search results in excel to provide easy comparison - check it out.

What do you redeem your QFF points for, apart from flights? Any tips?
Any recommendation on high value membership points, QFF and/or other programs?

Long haul flights or upgrades seem to be a favorite.

JohnK pointed out a few years ago that RTW redemptions are really good value. I certainly think so as well.

RTW
Y 140k
J 280k

I have enough for a Y RTW, but am saving for a J RTW later this year.
Itinerary l am planning is as follows-
SYD-LAS-(JFK, maybe) - BUD (and side trips in Europe)-HKG-BKK-SYD

(OT; I wish that QF had redemption rates like AA...one can only dream)
