QP access HKP - QP member transferring to CX flight from QF flight

Guys,

A friend who is QP (PS) will fly to HKG on QF and then transfer to CX flight.

Can anyone advise if they can access QP while waiting for CX connection. (while they are currently Gold, they wont be when flying hence the question) Travel will be Y class.

AFAIK, QP membership only allows lounge access for NB/PS when travelling on JQ, QF, BA and AA flights in the respective carrier's lounges.

So, going by that, then, No.

The only other way would be to backtrack to QP in HKG and hope the lounge dragon is in a good mood. However knowing the chinese the way I do, they are a stickler for the rules!!!!

Not always.

All they need to do is be polite and the answer could be a yes.
