A good move IMHO:

A dedicated family zone has been introduced at Sydney Domestic Qantas Club in T3, Sydney International Business Lounge and Brisbane Qantas Club lounges with more to follow.
The Qantas Family Zone will cater for children of all ages and feature a range of games and activities provided by Apple, Sony, Mattel, Chicco and Little Nest.

We noticed this when we flew back ANZAC Day, from T3 SYD-BNE with our 22 month old. Great improvement, especially since the Koru Clubs in Auckland have this.

I read this before when it came in on my FF update.. very good move for families (mine is too old now and at 8 prefers to either play on a computer or eat food!

Re: The Qantas Club News

They do have a Sony Playstation 3 there connected to a Sony TV... And some special Apple computers set aside for families.

The syd T3 one has been there for ages. Unfortunately for planespotters it's in the corner that has the best runway views.

I was in bne qp today. Where was it - I didn't see it!

I've always thought that the purpose of a lounge is to relax before a flight or get some more work done, rather than brining in extra stress from the outside. Although, I'll probably regret saying this some years down the track...

In the QP J lounge with all the other cranky kids:p

If it is, the J lounge will be even smaller now :-|

While that is true, if there are a few parents with kids, wouldn’t it be beneficial for you to have them all in one spot, away from you? ;)

SYD T1 Jlounge

Really just for infants and todlers, wish they had done something to get the tweens&teens of the main computers.

Agree ++

It is most annoying that the computers are used as child minders by parents. I am at the other end of the parenting spectrum...but I do like to check emails occassionally while waiting. Not so much of aproblem in the J or FLounge, but at peak times .....
