I'm booked on the QF codeshare of Air Pacific 910 from SYD-NAN and I'm one short on access for someone to the QP.

I have an invitation from a silver pack which I can use, but is it going to be a problem that I'm on the codeshare and not a QF metal? I'd hate for one of us to be rejected!

My understanding is that this is fine on the QF codeshare, but not on the FJ code (Assuming you're in Y).

# Access is only available prior to travel on the same day on eligible flights with a QF flight number on your ticket. Invitations are valid for Qantas operated lounges only. See Qantas Club Terms and Conditions for complete lounge access information.

Excellent thanks, I missed that.

2 in Y and 2 in J, unfortunatley the two without any status are down the back so that's where I fall one short!

Anyone have recent experience with this? Just noticed that the passes now say "Must be travelling on a Qantas or Jetstar flight" not just QF flight number.

Interestingly, I didn't know that pax travelling in Business Class are entitled to a guest regardless of their status on QF operated flights. Was going to abandon someone in the BNE domestic terminal until I saw that! Shame the same doesn't apply for codeshares.

Mmm. I had the idea that 'flight', at least in this context, means flight number. So, QFxx_ to NAN would, I'm pretty sure, still be a QF flight. I'm assuming here that you don't have a ticket with an FJxx_ number.

If might. Did you say your J passengers also had status? If they do then maybe this will apply:

Gold
Next onward flight that day must be a Qantas or Jetstar Airlines[SUP]+[/SUP] flight number or a oneworld operated and marketed flight[SUP]#[/SUP].
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member.

Platinum
Next onward flight must be on a Qantas, Jetstar Airlines[SUP]+[/SUP] or oneworld flight number.#
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member.

So long as you have a QFxx_ ticketed number I think you'll be ok.

The latter was in regards to accesss to the domestic J lounges on the domestic leg out of Brisbane (to SYD). I was expecting to have to leave one outside as of the two J pax, only myself has status. However, something I didn't notice under access for business class customers in domestic business:

Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas marketed and operated flight.
One guest permitted if also travelling on a Qantas marketed and operated flight[SUP]^[/SUP].

I had always thought that just travelling without status on a domestic ticket didn't give any guest allowances.

For the Intl J in SYD though, we are all booked on the QFxx_ however the rules state:

Allow access if connecting to or from a Qantas international flight on the same day.
One guest permitted if travelling onwards on a Qantas operated and marketed flight[SUP]^[/SUP].

So given it is QF marketed but not operated, I'll have to cross my fingers on the guest pass!

The QF flight number will suffice.

It's like when a WP travels to NAN on a FJ flight number and metal out of SYD - no First lounge access. But if on the QF flight number on that same FJ metal flight then no problemo.
