Recently got my PS card however while also a QP member the new card doesn't show QP details (logo is just Qantas for example) so now I am stopped by the lounge staff to check the card while before it was a breezy walk into the club (just flashing the card).

Guess it's back to printing a boarding pass, or carrying my old QP card (rather than PS) as I really don't like being checked while everyone else brushes past.

The PS card doesn't include QP so you need to carry both cards. You'd be stuffed if flying AA in the US as only the QP card will get you into their AC.

Pain to carry separate cards but they're different programs. As you've said technically flying on QF you can just show you're BP. Easy.

Your PS membership and your QP membership have different expiry dates. Would you rather they printed a card showing both statuses and the earliest expiry date of the two cards?

In the meantime, yes you need to travel with both so as to receive silver benefits on Oneworld airlines.

The old PS card never showed QP details either. I always carried my QP card and just flashed that. I only ever used my PS card once the entire time i had it.

Regardless of the card you have they should still be checking at the door as you don't have anytime access and as such they will need to see a boarding pass or scan your card.

No one gets to breeze past anymore.

That is contrary to my experience over the past 3 months- card scanned in machine once (PER) - and nonce (SYD/MEL/BNE/CBR).

Individual experience may vary, however I agree that you are kidding yourself if you think flashing a silver card or a QP card will suffice.

This is true...i believe the reason is because SYD/MEL/BNE you mentioned are those that are mostly QF/JQ only

I agree and I am yet to be stopped in SYD or MEL but the OP is only a QP paid memberand as such has never had anytime access. In my many years as a paid QP member I never walked straight past as the OP has indicated and everytime I wanted access they would request a BP or check the computer to confirm travel that day.

I can't comprehend that someone would agree with me, I shall not let mrs ejb find out or she will be worried:shock:

Back to the OP.....When i was paid QP and PS I never carried the PS card with me as QP was more than enough for everything I needed but now with NGCI and changing of terms I wonder if QFF need to have a PS/QP card. Perhaps a silver QP card would solve the issue.

I understand they are different programs but I think even a silver or ruby oval in the corner may help.
