QSCU Platinum insurance Vs standalone insurance

I'm about to travel to the USA and I'm relying on the insurance on my QSCU card ( I've already used the card for more than half the trip) and I'm concerned about what would happen if I or my partner had a medical issue whilst we were there. Should I be best off getting some stand-alone medical insurance or will the insurance on the card suffice. I'm particularly worried about having to pay any expenses upfront and claiming later as this would leave us pretty limited in our funds. Thanks.

I didn't rate the insurance on this card. My view is you're better off getting additional cover if only for peace of mind.
