I am booked into the Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe next month. On checking my booking, I have been allocated a King Hilton Executive room (38 sq.m.), having paid for the cheapest room available, which was a King Hilton Guestroom. I am now offered, for 49CNY, an eStandby upgrade to a Larger Room (53 sq. m.), larger than the Deluxe or Executive rooms.

  • Add 30% more space by selecting one of our limited larger rooms.
  • This room is approximately 10-15 m² larger than our Deluxe or Executive
rooms. Note: This offer can be awarded in conjunction with any
of the premium rooms on this page, if selected.

That seems like a very good deal as we are staying for 6 nights. But I am not sure that we would retain Executive room privileges. Does anyone know whether I would keep the Executive room privileges? My husband really likes the offerings in the Lounge in the late afternoon.

It looks like you have been upgraded. When is the stay?

I suspect you would still keep the lounge access if the Nor1 upgrade came through.

Where does your reference to Executive lounge come from? Does this proper provide such to Gold HHonors?

From the room description for the allocated room which says lounge access is included. I note the larger rooms are not bookable on the website, I would probably not bother with the upgrade, it has something of a claytons feel to it and its likely you could end up with one anyway.
