Out of curiousity, do NB members with QP membership still carry their NB card around or does the QP card perform all the functions you need (eg. QuickCheck at domestic)? Thanks.

I just carry my Qantas Club Card.

It does everthing.

Whereas a NB Card would not gain any of the QC benefits.

Also note that if you have printed off your Boarding Pass in advance that you can just use that by itself too as it will show your QC Membership.

Hi noahb, I was until recently QP NB for many years, and TBH, I can't recall the last time I saw my NB card (I would have stopped carrying it upon joining the QP). The QP card is good for checkin kiosk, for swiping at merchants where you can earn points etc. - I believe it would not be necessary to carry an NB card.

My QC card does not swipe at Sydney Duty Free (Inbound).

I don't know why, I have to use PS card for them to swipe ......

Just QP card... and even then it is only needed internationally, boarding pass suffices at domestic QPs...

NB card is sitting in my "rarely used, wallet to small" pile at home...

Nor did my old NB one... I think they have very touchy readers that don't like slightly "loved" cards. PITA is that they can't manually enter the number - you need to do it online yourself later (I've missed out on a fair few points when it slips my mind until 6 weeks later... when its too late)

Have lost my WP card due to leaving it in thye SLOT in a hotel keeping the aircon and lights on...

I haven't flown anywhere since I became QP, but swapped the NB card out for the QP card as soon as I got it.

A Qantas Club card superceeds a Bronze Qantas FF card.
If you are silver Qantas Club, then you need both cards for your oneWorld Ruby status (for airlines in oneWorld) and also your Qantas Club card for access to Qantas and partner Lounges.

Either way, just store it away. You never know when you might need it.

Yep found out the hard way as one world tickets do not show QC on it :D

I carry both ... in wallet now.

Haha! Now thats tragic munitalP! I used to collect hotel swipe cards until I realised that there were just too many hotels and I couldn't be bothered, now I have a slot in my bag for them and I use the em for just that, hotels where you need a card for the power/lights where they don't issue 2 at check in.

How dare you use a QF card for that!!! :p

I would have got my NB card 13 odd years ago and I have no idea where it is. Only carry QC card as it has my number on it which is the only point of a NB card.

I'm shocked that they will send me a silver card when I finally make silver in juy, but not silver luggage tags. Especially, as the luggage boys destroyed one of my blue QC luggage tags, yesterday :(

Feel free once you have made silver to ring up and ask for some.

You'll be told "Sorry Sir, You don't get PS tags when you're QP".

Ring and ask for some new QP ones, they'll happily send you a few of them out (Well they did for me before I was Gold)

Thanks to both for the tip. But one of my old blue QP tags got destroyed. Being able to replace it with a new red QP tag doesn't make me feel any better. :(

Where was your keycard for the room? I hope you did not leave the lights on in the room while you were out.
