Hi

I've currently only got 50 status credits on bronze.

It says on my QFF summary that I require an additional 80 status credits in order to obtain the next Loyalty bonus, which is 'For every 450 Status credits you earn, we will award you with a loyalty bonus of 5,000 Frequent Flyer points'

Can this be correct, as I've currently only got 50 status credits and the 80 status points they say that I require in order to obtain the Loyalty bonus does not = 450 pts.

My only thought is that the 450 status credits required in order to achieve the loyalty bonus do not expire upon my yearly anniversary and carry forward only for the purpose of obtaining a loyalty bonus.

Can anybody confirm that the status credits to obtain the loyalty bonus carry over until 450 points is reached.

tks

You get a loyalty bonus for every 450 SC that you earn, and it does not matter how long you take to earn these. The only count that resets to zero, at anniversary, is the one related to earning status for the year.

Bingo ;)

The Status bonus SCs are coughulative like the Lifetime Status credits.

Loyalty Bonus of 5000 FF points is paid for each 450 Status Credits you earn. These do not all need to be earned in the same membership year. So did you earn any status credits in previous memberships years? Is the 50 SCs you quote just for this membership year or is that your lifetime total Status Credit balance?

The 50 sc's I currently have been acrued for this year only, and as I understand from reading the replies the SC required for loyalty 5000 qff points acrue over the lifetime. So QFF's stating only 80 sc to go before reaching the loyalty bonus is correct :)

thanks for all the replies guys, it now clears up my question.

What I like are the quick responses from three very experienced travellers, helping out someone with a basic question - a very good question, actually.

Isn't this a wonderful place? I've learnt so much here from advice freely given. Stuff that you wouldn't find on company websites, or would take a tonne of googling to find in contradictory format.

Looking at the times, the three responses came in at four, six and eight minutes!!!!!! This is amazing stuff for volunteer unpaid labour. I'd be cynical and say it was just a bunch of show-offs, but I've seen the same people giving the same quick and helpful responses for years now. In fact, I'll bet that there were any number of other regulars lined up for a shot at answering the question, but waved off after reading the first responses.
