Hello all!

I have a question, hoping some light can be shed!

Recently booked a return service to Haneda for myself and partner (flexi Y)....upgraded all the legs via the KF call centre.

When the agent was confirming the upgrades, had no dramas with the outbound (quoted correct redemption cost etc), upgrade was processed and upgrade receipt received. The inbound service however, the agent was quoting a higher redemption cost. He acknowledged this was incorrect however he was unable to manually correct this at the time. He did assure me and confirm that the seats would be held for us and the upgrade processed within 24-48hrs. Later that evening, after checking online, I noticed the inbound service had been upgraded to J, able to select J seats and was all confirmed.

However, Im yet to receive email confirmation of the upgrade (I'm assuming you get this, as I did for the outbound) and my KF miles are yet to be deducted (not complaining...). Given this...I was a bit concerned...called back the KF centre a few days later to check, the agent said everything is confirmed, all upgraded to J.

Does this all seem ok and I shouldn't be worrying? I would love to get away with a bonus 100+KF miles not being charged...but I don't want to rock up to the airport and be told we are at the back of the bus...

Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would probably work on the assumption that the points will be deducted at some point... if they aren't then that is just a bonus.

Just something to perhaps keep in mind. Are you sure that you were given a Saver award? There are three types of upgrades, each with varying price levels.

If it's showing as confirmed online, you're all good. I wouldn't worry.

If you want to feel better about it, maybe call back and select seats with another agent over the phone just to be sure.

Well...after posting this today, received email confirmation receipts tonight and points have been deducted.

Just had a look then and we made the original booking/upgrade on the 9th, so it's been close to 2 weeks for the email confirmation and points deduction to occur!
