Radisson Flash Points Sale - good way of topping up airline miles

Radisson are having a flash sale at present, where for short period each day they give bonus points (70% today), so you can get 70000 for USD$280, which translates across to 10500 miles with US Air/BA/AA/CX etc!

75% Bonus Point Purchase Offer:
Offer applies to Gold Points purchased in 1,000 point increments between June 17, 2013 and June 21, 2013 during specified 75 minute promotional time periods announced through Facebook and Twitter. Member must start the purchase process during the 75 minutes to qualify. For each qualifying purchase, members will receive a point bonus equal to 75% of the points purchased (i.e. 750 bonus points for each 1,000 points purchased). Bonus points will not be applied to the yearly 40,000 point purchase maximum. Bonus points and purchased points will be posted to the member’s Club Carlson account as one transaction within 2-5 days of purchase. The number of 75 minute time periods announced will be determined in Club Carlson’s discretion and the start and end time of each interval will be based on the clock used by the Club Carlson/Points.com system. Club Carlson is not responsible for unavailable network or computer hardware, software or other technical failure which may impact a member’s ability to login or complete their purchase of Points. You could always use them for points plus pay redemptions as well!
 
Ok decent. Not so much for airline miles when you can get a specific hotel in London, that I was looking at, for 50,000 pts (~£130 under this promo), much better than available rates of around £300.

Yes, better value, problem is their lack of hotel footprint in our region.
 
Thank you very much for the hint, I just purchased miles for an upcoming redemption in Norway and I needed a top-up of points, excellent value!
 
Just got a new offer: 60,000 points for $280USD. Only 50% bonus (0.47 US cent per gold point), not very attractive this time. Specially when the exchange rate is only 0.91
