Hi all,

Anyone receive a random (or maybe "unexpected" is a better word) delivery of luggage tags from QANTAS?

I received four (two sets of two) yesterday, in an envelope with no accompanying letter or anything. I've never asked for any additional ones, and this is the first time it's ever happened. Odd if you ask me...

There seem to be an awful lot appearing on ebay recently - maybe it's not just you.

I could always do with some QANTAS tags, in case anyone wants to get rid of theirs.

Hey AC, what level QFF are you? - this could have some bearing on the tags

Interesting. Maybe the tags are due for a redesign and QANTAS are offloading old stock?
I thought that luggage / membership cards would be updated with the new Qantas logo. Just received my new WP card and its exactly the same as last years.

Hi,

I'm a WP. I got a couple of WP tags (with the larger lettering than the current set) several years ago when I first made plat. And then nothing since, until Monday when this set turned up. I would have thought that QANTAS would have included some note as to why they were being sent if they were sending them out unsolicited.

When I bought new luggage, I ran QANTAS and asked from some more. They arrived about aweek later they way you described.

My guess is a member with Membership number 123455 rang up and they computer operated sent a dispatch request for membership number 123456 (ie yours)

Yup - this sounds like the most plausible explanation. Though I imagine that the chances of transposing a digit (or mistyping a digit) and still getting the tags for your level would be odds-against rather than odds-on unless QANTAS has a lot more WPs than QC members :-)
