hello

does anyone know if free travel insurance that comes with credit cards would cover me for an extented period of time??? i am leaving on a working visa for at least a year and was wondering what the best option was. whether to just get it for the intial flight? any info from exp working visa peeps would much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most travel insurance, including annual policies, have limits on the duration of any individual "trip". Some are 60 days, most are 90 days, some may be more. But to be covered for an extended period like a year you will need to look specific for such a policy. I would be very surprised if any policies provided through credit cards will cover an extended trip such as you describe. Read the PDS and understand what you are buying.
