Hi, i have booked a domestic flight with Jetstar Australia, and have had my flight cancelled.. (bummer but what can you do right) so i ring and confirm the new schedule they gave me with a departing flight at 1.05.. (had to ring as had a msg to "click link above.. and NO link showed in the email) and all was good.. until i receive yet ANOTHER email "action required changes to your jetstar itinerary" ...but it still showed the same flight details with a departing time of 1.05, so i ring to double check, the FIRST lady i spoke to tells me the 1.05 is cancelled and that my only option is a 7.25 flight... so i tell her i will ring back to confirm the change after discussing with my fiancee... i ring back to confirm the 7.25...yet THIS PERSON tells me that the 1.05 is NOT cancelled.. BUT the first lady had told me the 1.05 IS cancelled and that the 7.25 is almost full, so that i needed to cofirm for that oe quickly to not miss out (as its the last flight on the date i need to travel on)

LONG STORY sorry!! >>>but my question is is there ANYONE in Jetstar in Australia i can speak to.. does anyone know of a phone number i can ring to speak with someone in Australia??? because the language barrier has OBVIOUSLY effected my phone calls... they obviously did NOT understand my question, as one person cant say a flight is cancelled and the only other available one for that day is almost full, and then the very next person say my flight is still available... :) Thanks

*UPDATE* not sure how to remove post.. BUT finally after speaking to three "supervisors" have been told the 1.05 is not cancelled.. and am booked in and hoping it stay "not cancelled"

Welcome to dealing with JQ... Call again, get them to confirm which flights are available and get them to send you an email to confirm what is the correct flight.
Also do you have the JQ booking number (it'll be on your itinerary if you've booked directly with JQ)? If so try logging onto the JQ website and seeing for yourself.

You might end up flying QF anyway if JQ do cancel the flight as most of the disrupted pax end up being rebooked on QF. Seems to happen on a regular basis in BNE. Not sure whether it's due to crewing issues (ie not enough crew for scheduled flights) but they're never forthcoming with a reason.
