Reasonably cheap fares to Malaysia on MH

MH are offering reasonable prices for flights to Malaysia over holiday periods. Fares from Sydney to KL are under $800 return over the Christmas and Easter holidays. Current prices end at the end of September.

What am I doing wrong? I got excited for a minute or 2.

I can only see SYD-KUL airfares close to AUD2000 for departure between 21 December and 26 December and returning 18 January.

Did you mean return, or one way MH_fan? I was after a fare to KUL at that time and $800 sounded a good start!! But I can only see $650 - $850 each way for Econ, going out late Dec coming back early Jan.

Business (which is what I'd do) abt $1,700 each way. Not bad. But ...

Sorry about that, guys. My bad. This sale started several weeks ago and I know these fares were available over the Xmas period at that time when I checked but I wasn't interested in flying over that period. I only just checked for Easter today because that's when I'm wanting to fly and I could still get a fare for $794 return.
