Post 2:
I recently booked tickets with a Qantas partner to go OS in Business. Later, I changed the flights so they arrived and departed about a week later.
I was credited with points for the flights actually flown, but a couple of weeks later noticed my status credits had jumped by 80, and my FF points balance was also up. Qantas had credited me for the original outbound booking which had not been flown. Fine, I thought, leave it and see what happens. Two days later the status credits were up another 80 and so were the FF points - had been credited again for the return J flight never flown.
Should I alert them to this? As I am almost platinum and plan to stop earning points after I get to 1400 I don't really want to be sitting in the J lounge having a gin and tonic on the cutoff date and check my laptop to find 160 scs have suddenly vaporized. Do they check the computer records or what?
