The whole Wilson clan (including my M-i-L :o ) is going to CBR next week. I have clients to visit Tuesday and a Conference to attend Wed-Fri. Therefore, there is a Conference Ball and Mrs LW wants to have her hair styled before the big night (Friday).

Whilst I can see a bunch of salons, we have no experience in which ones are okay. Whist I can select one that is close (within easy walking distance) using whereis, I'm wondering whether anyone has had any experience in using any of them?

[Unfortunately no time to organise a Meet A Moderator function :( (whilst I fly down early AM, the clan flies in at midday Tues, so I am expected to help out with usual duties on Tues night and all other nights have Conference functions].

Appreciate your input (might even get me a brownie point :o ).

There's a just cuts in the Canberra Centre as well as a few other hair dressers.

No personal experience here but my hairdresser rates Cataldo's.
OT in general the Spa's attached to Crowne Plaza's are usually of a reasonably high quality.
Why not book Mrs LW a facial or a pedicure at the Earth Day Spa during the stay?

buy her a comb...lol

The room will have a hairdryer

Thanks Princess Fiona. Have emailed her details, phone number, website and walking map. She can check it out during the week.

elbarto, if she doesn't want to walk 800m to this salon, I'll point her to Just Cuts in the Canberra Centre - not far at all ;).

simo, I like the male parts of my anatomy where they are meant to be!

Lindsay,

I would make that comment to your SWMBO but no way in hell would I say that to my SWMBO.

And vice versa, my thought exactly :D ;)

ROFL

Let's not get into the whole shenanigans too about particular kinds of hair dryers (and why every woman carries her own, all the time). You'll probably look forward to that when little CL gets a bit older, LW.

She ended up going for her own choice in the Canberra Centre and the trim and style turned out okay:

Of course, I was effusive in my praise ;)
