I am wanting to book two flights on QR, connecting in DOH, using Velocity points. On the search engine, it only seems to allow this as two separate bookings. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to do this as a single booking requiring a single set of points?

Apparently you cannot book connecting QR flights using Velocity points either online or through the call centre.
Unless Australia is origin/destination?

I think the above is correct. You can certainly book connecting flights ex-AU on QR through VA. I just booked MEL - LHR with Velocity on QR this morning, for example. Be nice if there was a way to search for just J rewards (and exclude the ridiculous 1m+ points "any seat" ones) without having to click through every search result across multiple days, but it does work for these types of itinerary if you can find one...

I have managed to book Istanbul Doha Perth on one ticket today. Last night was also booking a Bangkok Abu Dhabi Rome, but had to edit search to select that roughing. With points it would not let me select Bangkok to anywhere in Europe but lucky all ticketed and confirmed now.

So how were you able to get it ticketed? Call up?

I just booked connecting flights through the call centre. Asia-DOH-Europe. Points were charged using the total mileage from origin to destination. Taxes were the same as adding up the taxes showing online for the individual sectors.

They were going to charge a call centre booking fee but I asked for a waiver and it was granted.
