Hello

I am positive this has been answered many times before, but I will put a slight twist on it.

I am looking at flying from NRT to ROR. ROR is in Palau, but anywhere in Micronesia will do (not Guam).

Two questions

If I fly two legs in one sector (North Asia 2), is that the same as one reward ticket. IE if I route NRT->GUM->ROR is that just considered NRT->ROR or do I have to pay for two award flights? I seem to recall PER-PPT being very good value, but it would have to be PER-AKL-PPT (isn't that two award flights?)

Does anyone know (without having to sit on hold for some considerable time) where Micronesia sits on the SQ *A award table? I'm hoping its in the same area as Guam.

The ANA tool is showing lots of availability. I'm just trying to sort out routing costs in advance.

Thanks

You are allowed to have multiple connecting flights on a single award ticket. The only time they'll charge you more points is if they consider you to be "backtracking".

Not sure which region ROR is in. Surely they'd bundle it in with Guam.

Okay.

1) SQ is lighting quick on answering the phone. Zero waiting time.
2) NRT->ROR is 25,000 miles return. Yay. No stopovers allowed, but its only 37,500 with a stopover.
3) ANA tool shows availabilty
4) I got an itinerary with ticket reservation sent through from SQ.
5) I got black flagged at the last turn, being told "you can't redeem flights on UA200 and below". Argh.

I've posted this elsewhere, but in case anyone here can help with suggestions, I'm all ears.

Thats a good idea Steve. Its in the same fare bucket, just more time to get there.

A small update. Singapore is on the case. They have escalated the issue and will have an answer for me on Monday. Very impressed with their service.
