Just seeking some advise on the following:

(1) How far in advance can you purchase a saver reward ticket?

(2) The Kris Flyer site states the validity of a saver reward ticket is 6 Months what does this mean?

Cheers

1) Something like 330 days in advance, not sure exactly
2) You can change your dates as much as you like subject to availability within 6 months of first issue. At T-24 you can still cancel and redeposit miles for a nominal charge (US$40 or something like that).

Hope this helps.

I wondered what that meant. So a Saver redemption now for a December flight can be changed up until the end of September? After that date, no changes permitted except cancellation.

I think they have different redeposit rates for T-24 & then T0-23:59.

Thanks for clarifying Deluxeflyer.

Alby,
I need to correct myself here, my understanding is it's six months from the date of first departure on the ticket.
So if you have a one way Saver redemption for say 1 July, you can change dates right up to about 31 December.
For a return ticket, the last leg must be within 6 months of the first outbound leg.
If you have any status with KF (Silver or higher), validity can be extended by 3 months.
Redeposit rates up to T-24 is US$30, and T0-23:59 is US$75.

Apologies for the initial error.

OK, thanks for clarifying. I can't wait until I have the spare time to start pushing those validity limits.
