Hi,

I've been a member here since 2008 but have just lurked from time to time. I need to post a question for an upcoming US flight which I'll do after I post a few responses to this post .

So I'm probably just wasting your time with this post. Feel free to reciprocate in your responses.

I'm currently a QC/QFF gold. I have 1020 SC and Aug 31 is my rollover. I'll be asking about trying to get Platinum out of QF/AA flights to/from USA in July/early Aug. Optionally if Plat is pointless to have or unachievable I could probably fly VA/Delta instead.

I'll ask that later. My intererests are travel, working too much and gaming loyalty programs. So I fit in at AFF pretty well I suspect.

Hi Tom,

Will do. I'm based in MEL and it doesn't look like there's anything local soon but I'll keep an eye on lounge meets and see if I happen to line up travel around one of those.

If you have enough travel planned to get you across the line, why not go for Plat (WP). I am going to fall over the line this year. And while I don't have a lot of travel planned next year ( my year ends 31 August as well) it's a case of not knowing what the future holds. I may in fact end up doing some long haul J if certain business plans come to fruition.

I think I have enough travel to manage it but it may be better placed to try to level up my Velocity although I never fly VA. I would where I have to put up with mostly JQ flights (gold coast, etc.).

I started to lay out my route here but I figure I should do that in Questions anyway.
