Can recommend:
Crown limousines - nice as they use mercedes
Penguin limousines - good for us as they are based on nothern beaches

Generally I now use a direct number for a silver service service cab driver. I'm a $110 fare from home to airport so he is happy to pick me up at 6.30 am for the trip. Nice clean new car is as good as limo and a little cheaper.

We use:
Sydney... Chris 0412 818515
Melbourne .... Bill 0419 892349
Perth.....Quicksilver 1300 570747

These chauffeurs work well for all of our family.
Chris and Bill do reciprocal business and do it well.

I unfortunately lost the number of a really good limo driver a former colleague used in MEL.

Met in Melbourne with your coffee order in hand.
For the evening trips back he had an esky filled with beers in the back.
Surprisingly a lot of repeat business!

Hi Christina, I've used (and can recommend) the following in Australia:

In Sydney I use a company called Omnicar (found them through another post on AFF and they have been reasonably good). 02 80148420 or www.omnicar.com.au. I've been picked up with a mixture of Calais and S-class through them.

In Melbourne, I use a driver called Bill. 0417036559.

Mods: If its inappropriate that I post phone numbers or URL's, please feel free to remove.

Cheers,
W

Thanks - their rates seem reasonable. I'll give them a go. I'm sick of waiting 30+ mins for a taxi in Sydney.

Wile_e, do Omnicar provide a tax receipt? is this provided by the driver or is it posted to you. Our dragons in expenses are fairly strict with receipt requirements for expenses over $25.

Penguin administration was poor. They charged me the wrong amount and it took me several emails to get a refund. They didn't even apologise, so I'll try another company this week.

Used omnicar with no problems a couple of times. Tax receipt is emailed to you later (has occasionally taken a while, I guess they process them in batches... two weeks).

Hi YQY, yes they do provide a tax receipt and do so by emailing you. Inclusive of GST and tolls, Dom-CBD is $56. Payment is done 'remotely', so the only interaction with your driver is the conversation you choose to have (or not have) with them!

On occassion, they are a little laxed with receipts so a little email prompting does the trick.

Wile_e/Kitkat - thanks for your responses. I used Omnicar yesterday (Five Dock) to Sydney International. The driver was very professional and early and the car was previous gen s-class. The fare was $61.50 - which is slightly more expensive than a cab.

I will definately use them in the future.
