Just a short note about a recent holiday trip to Europe.
Brisbane > Dubai>Zurich return with Emirates in J .
Summary : A seamless classy experience from front door to front door.
The 777's vary from near new to very tired....eg ..Zurich>Dubai was a 2 class clunker with prehistoric seats.
Much better service overall than the roo.. (I now think I will sell all my shares on a sunny day ).
Perhaps also of interest :
Niki / Air Berlin Zurich > Rome ( via vienna !! )
Summary : A low cost carrier delivering high quality comfort and service... nothing "deathstar" like about this carrier
tip : I paid the 78e for a service card, loaded my suitcase up to get the other to 20 and escaped an usurious overweight luggage fee.
Athens to Zurich : This was a well priced Lutfhansa service operated by Aegean to Dusseldorf and then a short swiss connection to Zurich
Aegean quite a good carrier similar std to a local roo service. Swiss was just OK .. note : Swiss pricing is stratospheric.. you could never book them direct.
Happy to provide more info /lounge reports etc if anyone is interested.
