Hi all

It is that sad time of year when QF wipe my SCs and race starts all over again - 2560 SCs wiped on 30 September, possibly my highest QF total for a year (I know I hit 2200 ish last year). I did just notice a change in the summary page in that it shows number of SCs to retain extra WP benefits and NOT number of SCs to retain WP. Kind of odd I thought. I think it shows number of SCs to retain SG and number of SCs to attain WP but I havent seen this before.

Any thoughts?

Quick screen grab attached.

I'm guessing it see PG as your current status, rather than WP.. much like when you are WP it doesn't show how much you need for SG.

The same thing happened on my account, but it returned to "normal" pretty quickly. (It may have been after my first earn for the year..)

That is really weird. I would have expected to see:

Number of SCs to retain Platinum: 1200
Number of SCs to attain extra Platinum benefits: 2400

I wonder if that means there is a soft landing from the 2400 level to platinum. That is if you didn't make 1200 SCs to get platinum would your still get platinum for the next year.

My screen is exactly the same, not that I was anywhere near 2400 last year though. Got 1510 wiped over the weekend.

Could be a qf bug

It is a known anomaly.

Give it a few days, and the "vanilla" WP qualification requirement will reappear.

It does give one the false hope of a "soft landing" to WP if you didn't requalify.

My bet is it's something to do with Platinum One and/or a platinum improvement.

Can't be far away ;-)

Next week I believe - to be announced at Rockpool ;)

Maybe also reading to much into it but do you also have sufficient booked travel to requal?

Not booked - I am only 4 days into my status year ;) Planned travel is sufficient to requalify (2xSauid+1xUK in J plus 20 dom whY :'()

ok I am strange I know :D 4 days into my status year and my requal for WP is booked and ticketed already... 2 J trips to Europe 1 Y to BKK and a couple of domestic trips...

I do like to book ahead (one Saudi trip on CX is already booked) as well but the planned other trips are months off. Sadly this year could be a low SC year (sub 1500) as I might switch sufficient flights to DJ/VA out of boredom with DOM QF and considering other options for INt'l flights (other than CX that is).

Same boat and same message here - 2600SCs wiped on 30/9, 'Your Summary' page tells me 2400SCs to 'receive additional platinum privileges', no mention of the 1200SC Platinum requalification level.

As you made the 2400 mark in the last year, perhaps it is just telling you what you need to regain that sae status? Would be a bit silly for it to tell you what you need for Silver, for eg. Really though, should show all.

1515SC gone for me and showing the same as well, so not a retain situation for me at least.

Same with me. It showed up after a few days.
