Couldn’t see a recent thread on this (and may be well known) but was offered pre-departure beverage today on domestic SYD-MEL QF451. Still or sparkling water. I usually fly Qlink domestic and haven’t flown mainline in a couple of weeks so perhaps this has already made a comeback.

What class of travel?

I flew J 2 weeks ago and no PDB, I didn't notice one being served when I flew BNE>MEL on Wednesday (I was in row 4)

It was a small bottle of still water in J, BNE-SYD a few days ago. Maybe you were seen to be someone important. ;) No alcohol though, if that’s what you mean as a beverage.

Good point actually - didn’t see any bottled water on the flight so perhaps they improvised. Was offered to whole cabin though.

The FA very occasionally hands out the small bottles of water as a pre-departure beverage in Domestic J. Otherwise, I haven't seen a return of the glasses on a tray.
