Just contemplating booking my next flights to reach LTG before EoY and got to wondering about how QF derived my current LT SC tally. Been a member since 1990 (and flown TAA/AA/QF pretty much exclusively over past 40 years). I thought this would be the total of my SC earn since inception of current QFF program in 2001. Contacted QFF and was emailed record of my flights ...since 1992! I assumed I could just add up SC for flights since 2001 but realised DSC and Loyalty bonus SC are missing. Have contacted QFF again numerous times but having no luck getting straight answer.... Might just be one of life's mysteries?

I've always kept an eye on my yearly totals, but took no interest in the LT tally. Once I hit LTG I've taken even less of an interest.

I suppose I've always assumed it would be as right as rain.

Post LTG, our level of interest (and QF future bookings) will rapidly dissipate too. Will be directing future spend to other OW carriers. QFi had its day but its current soft product offering is subpar when it comes to consistency/quality of inflight food and wine, and provision of genuine customer focused service without the tiresome and unnecessary "Attitude @ Altitude"...

Not pushing onto LTP? :p

Slightly OT, but did you just write to the general email address?

All communications via phone to Philippines (as QF phone verification software wouldn't accept my 5 digit membership number for the first few calls ... until I put two zeros in front and I was routed to the priority queue again...). Was advised (on two occasions) that someone was looking into the matter and would be contacting me in due course so held off submitting via online form and potentially confusing matters further. Having to repeat the reason for my call each time and then wait while they tried to find any notes was a PITA. In hindsight email the better option.

how QF derived my current LT SC tally
Tier Credits earning began in September 1998.

Life time status is based on all Status Credits and Tier Credit Earned since then.

Between October 1994 when I joined the Qantas Club and the introduction of Tier Credits, I had 245 flights with Qantas. None of those 245 flights count toward my ~35K lifetime SC tally.

Didn’t ALH have this issue recently?

Just read ALH post. Not worth me pursuing further I think. If your LT status is derived mostly from employer funded travel prob not a big issue unless you retire short of LTG. But if you self funding, the feeling that your LT SC total may be missing a few flights or at worst was somewhat arbitarily determined by QF when they assigned you a status level in current QFF program back in 2001, is not a good feeling. Guess I'll just clip my LTG ticket and join the queue out the door.

Well having no response from QFF despite their commitment to do so, put my query in writing and received the acknowledgement email with S/R number advising someone would be in touch. Heard nothing so called again. They confirmed they had received my query and...... "crickets chirping".... I asked if someone was following up my query and was advised no one had looked at it yet....

Given no response, called QFF again and after rehashing the basis of my query, got emailed a new (hopefully correct) printout. The system works eventually...just need to be persistent...

Yes she did (still does) . I don’t know that we will ever get a satisfactory outcome though.

I have received 2 sets of statements so far, both with trips & details missing. I don’t believe I’m ever going to get any further with them and I’ve just given up. I’ll book the required flights for the family member to get to their LTG and then we’ll just work our way through the several million QFF points on partner airlines.

To be honest, it’s far too stressful and time consuming to continually argue with QFF. Especially the call centre in the Philippines. I look after multiple family accounts so the stress multiplies.

I’ve gone from Platimum One last year to zero SCs this year (and already 6 months in). Not sure their systems are sophisticated enough to notice I no longer use QF. It will be interesting to see if anything happens.

I’ve also never had a targeted DSC and this particular family member has had lots of them, so I’ll be booking their flights if they get an offer soon.
