Hopefully simple question - QFWP flying on a J points ticket LAX-MEL in December. Flight has been removed from the schedule due to what i suspect is the frame being needed for the new MEL-DFW flight. I have been rebooked via BNE which I have no interest in doing (A330, terminal transfer). I’m not familiar with policy or precedent here - are QF likely to be willing to move me +/- 1 day and remain on the direct to Melbourne? Would they be open to rerouting me via DFW direct to Melbourne on the original date?

Thanks!

There is no harm in asking, as they would have had to open up a reward seat on the A330 I expect, so no different in that sense.

If you get Hobart or Auckland when calling in, I'm nearly 100% sure that they would do that for you. I've had many otherwise not allowed things done on reward flights after an involuntary change. If you get Fiji or Cape Town and they say no, don't hesitate to HUCA.
