I thought it only counted towards the number of nights but did not accrue points...If I am wrong please tell me as I have been paying for nights rather than using my points for nights to try and maintain Platinum

Could well be the hotel stuffed up but I got points, it was the newly opened HIX in Singapore.

thanks, I think I will retain/attain Platinum first then give it a try

Not sure it is the same but back in 2007 I had a stay in the Frankfurt Holiday Inn as part of the Cosmos tour that was not regarded as a hotel stay or earned points.

I did earn PC points on hotel spend during this stay.
