Reward stay conditions re status

After looking though the HH website I think I have this correct but want to see if anyone here can confirm please.

1) A reward stay does not earn points, but does count as a stay for the purpose of status retention
2) Diamond benefits (other than those point-related*) are still conferred during a reward stay (e.g. potential room upgrade, comp breakfast, free wi-fi etc.)

* Actually, wondering if any diamond points benefits that are not directly related to number of base points earned (e.g. DIAMOND MYWAY BONUS - Hilton - 1000) may still apply, no biggie either way.

My understanding agrees with your points 1) and 2).

As for the asterisk, I've no idea as I'm yet to redeem a points stay, but I'd be curious as well. I'm sure it's been mentioned before that any ancillary charges do accrue so maybe if ancillaries are paid, perhaps the MYWAY bonus might kick in then........but that's pure speculation based on nothing more than wishful thinking

2. Yes.
*. I got the 1000 point MyWay bonus on a points + pay reward booking. I also got triple points (Q3 offer) for the credit card surcharge of 69 cents. 6 base points + 3 points for Diamond 50% bonus + 12 points for triple points offer for a total of 1021 points. You do not get the airline points (I should have changed to points plus points for this stay, I would have got an extra 3 HHonours points ).

Note that if you MyWay is to to an Airline "Double Dip" you may not receive airline points/miles on an award stay.

Can we receive any bonus or any type of additional points on an cash + points stay? whatever the myway may be?
