So who is the MP that has a vested interest in DF shops that has enough swing to influence random security procedures?

Last year traveling to Europe from MEL and had computer screwdrivers (Dicksmith) in my COL. Was surprised they confiscated them, like seriously like I could take down the plane with some small screwdrivers! A month after 9/11, had my mach 3 razors confiscated at SIN, however now I believe they let them through.

That was a close shave.
This was originally the case, but it was later explained to the Security Staff that terrorists always wore a beard so they then quickly relaxed the policy. There was some resistance in the Airport Security ranks though because those little Mach 3 razors were a nice little earner for them.
