Rio de Janeiro on QF for $1049 return

As part of the current Qantas sale, flights to Rio de Janeiro (and Sao Paulo) are on sale for just $1,049 with departures from SYD, MEL, BNE & ADL available. That's the lowest price for flights from Australia to Brazil I've ever seen.

Travel between 31 January - 14 July 2017. Sale ends 23 August.

Cheapest I've seen as well. Pity a tourist visa costs $216.

I suspect that with the Olympics promoting Brazil, a lot of seats might be sold.
