Roaming Data device....any experiences?

I was trawling around online when I saw this thing https://www.roamingdata.com.au/
It is essentially a portable sim powered wifi box...meaning when travelling overseas multiple devices could be connected instead of having numerous o/s sim cards for ipads, tablets, lap tops etc.

Anyone here had any experience with these? I am keen to hear the good, the bad and the ugly on this from those in the know. Is it worthwhile?

Seems like an overkill.

If you have a spare unlocked phone, just get a local SIM, turn on the phone hotspot, set a passphrase and off you go.

I used Tep when travelling through UK and England. Collected it in U.K. Maybe 6 years ago. Worked really well. There was a snaffu at their end and in the end was never charged.
Now I just stump up for Optus travel pack @ $10 a day. 50mb coughulative data and free phone and text messages.

I use a Knowroaming SIM as I'm in the USA, Middle East and/or Europe several times per month, so having separate sims for 10+ countries I regularly visit is hugely impractical. Even on Knowroaming prices, roamingdata.com.au is expensive.

Yep looks expensive.
Flexiroam is my current go to.. US$30/1GB/90days. For old phone or dual sim

I use vodafone - $5 a day for overseas and turn my phone into a hotspot for everything else to connect to.
