I will be flying from Sydney to Rome, vis Chengdu, Sichuan Airlines J, revenue fare, on 13th September.

I have been to Rome twice before and have seen the really top sights. This time I will have one day in Rome, arriving at 0725hrs and taking the train to Tuscany that evening.

Any suggestions you have on where to go in Rome? The following are the main places I have yet to visit, please advise which ones I should pick for a one day trip.

Borghese Gallery
Roman National Museum / Baths of Diocletian
Capitoline Museums
Trastevere
The Jewish Ghetto
Ostia Antica
Roman Catacombs

Thanks.

Hands down Borghese for me. I love the sculptures of Gianlorenzo Bernini (all around Rome) and they are numerous in addition to works by Titian, Caravaggio etc etc
Beautiful building and magical space.
And…. Only 360 pax at any time in whole building in a booked two hour slot (so refreshing to not get squashed with loud groups).
You must book ahead therefore
If you dont get in — I have used a brilliant Guide twice in Rome who bought it to life for us (and well worth it).
Enjoy
