In August, I'm booked on a round-the-world ticket (Star Alliance)
Melbourne-Los Angeles (United)
Los Angeles-Boston (United)
Boston-Zurich (Swiss)
Zurich-Frankfurt (surface: own arrangements)
Frankfurt-Seoul (Lufthansa)
Seoul-Sydney (Asiana)
Sydney-Melbourne (Qantas)
I booked quite some time ago, through a travel agent, so am not sure of the fare basis. But it was a good deal.
I have reasonably healthy FF balances with Qantas and Cathay Pacific. About 150,000 each.
Also a small balance with Air New Zealand (that will increase with two trips to USA planned and tickets purchased)
For the RTW booking, I quoted an almost dormant United FF membership number.
I'm wondering if quoting my Air New Zealand airpoints number would be a better option? Is it possible to change from one FF program to another on an existing booking?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
