Disneyland and California adventure in LA.

We spent 3 nights last oct here and stayed in anaheim. Did 1 night in Santa Monica on the way home and hated it.

Nothing really in LA to be honest but my 3 yo still talks about the things she did in disneyland :)

Didn't make it to Universal studios which was a shame.

Hi Mumfreqflyer
We were thinking of staying at Doubletree Santa Monica, what didnt you like about it ?

LA has heaps of things to do, and Santa Monica is fantastic. You clearly didn't try very hard :)

(or maybe travelling with a 3 year old is part of the problem :))

A day trip out of Kyoto to Arashiyama is worthwhile. There are a few World Heritage listed temples and the monkey park (which I am sure the 8 & 10 y.o. will enjoy).
