Can I get some ideas for booking RTW reward flights for four with the following destinations?

starting/finishing: CBR at earliest 14th Dec, ideally 20th Dec, return home after 3-5 weeks.
visiting: Iola, KS over Christmas (3 options for airports)
visiting the following destinations in no particular order: Los Angeles CA (2 days), Huntsville AL (pref over a weekend), New Orleans LA (2 days), New York NY (4 days?), Derby UK (2 options for airports) then making our own way to London UK (total 7 days).

Thats it. My proposed itinerary was rejected by FFS, so wondering if anyone has any out of the box ideas to make this workable - unfortunately couldn't book before now. Ready to book, with over 1M QFF points. Apparently Business is not an option. (ideally 2 x Business, 2 x Economy)

the kids are really looking forward to the trip, so I hope someone can help.

Thanks
Mike

Sorry, I can't offer anything really to help. The FFS people I'm sure would have attempted this type of itinerary before, at Christmas, and some things just aren't possible. The stumbling block was probably the out of and back into Australia sectors, with 2 x business, at the peak travel time, 6 months out.

The only thing I might suggest is looking at just booking the outbound and inbound trips only with points, and look at very circuitous routing - via China/Japan/HKG. It will be more expensive in points (I think) but you just might get the seats. Then try to fill in the gaps with points, or buy the fares.

We did our 35,000 mile trip in sept/oct period and were booked 12mths in advance. You are after school holidays and absolute peak. Good luck.

You might want to see if you can get two paid flights and two FF flights at the same time. 4 around Christmas is really pushing it.

Thanks everyone. Frequent Flyer Solutions has had a change of heart with the revised dates and I'm just awaiting their formal quote so they can start looking. I had hoped the turn around would be quicker but I guess they must be swamped. I requested the quote last Thursday and should get it today. Fingers crossed.

If all else fails, plan B could be to head over on June/July instead - still peak school holiday period, but more of the contention will probably be on the US side as its peak for their vacation season I'm guessing.
