I have just had my award flight on QF 93 5th September, changed from F to J due to aircraft change. I’m not wanting to accept this and have been told they will only move my flight a day before or after to an award seat if F available. There is only a A380 on 2nd September but they won’t allow me to change. Is this right? I thought as it’s their issue, that they should open a seat to award availability.

I would be pushing them to open the F seat up to accommodate this involuntary change.
Can you go via SYD on 4/5/6 Sep on A380?

I have finally finished the call, insisting that they change the flight to the next available F seat on a A380 and after a few back and forths, we were changed to the 2nd September. So relieved that we got there in the end.
I’m now waiting for the inevitable email, regarding our return flight change of aircraft. This is my first year back with Qantas, with both paid and award F seats, after a disastrous year in 2022, Emirates & Singapore Air, had been getting our $$ since then.
Thank you for the replies.
