If the OP is to be believed, joining fee will be US$200, and renewal fee will stay at US$100.

Will be interesting to see if (1) this turns out to be true and (2) what extra benefits, if any, will be offered to offset the price hike of joining. I was considering at US$150 joining up, but I don't think I will now. Probably be a waste of money on my part, even at US$150

Are you aware that you can use 32,000 PC points to join Ambassador? (It used to be 24,000 points!)
And it's 20,000 points to renew each year - well, I hope it still is!
