I am looking at applying for an upgrade for a flight. I am booked with the OH and it says that the request must be for both. Combined we have enough in each others accounts to satisfy the request but individually we do not have enough. Am I better to transfer my points to the OH account and do it that way?

If you can see your booking in "Your Bookings" when you log into your QFF account, you should see a button on the right to "Upgrade" your flights in your itinerary.

That should take you to a new screen where you can select which flight you want to nominate for upgrade (and the cost).

Sometimes the QFF website can be buggy and may tell you that you are not eligible for an upgrade when your fare conditions might say otherwise. In this case, the only recourse is to call QF.

I am booked on QF and when logged into the QF website I cannot find a spot to use points to request an upgrade. I have done it before when booking through an agent and cannot see where it says S class is excluded. The flight is in August so I would have thought the option would be available now.

I would call QF, there has been recent reports where online purchases have been flagged as non upgradable (E, N, O, Q and X class) when they should be according to the blurb on the fare (supersaver), if your booking is in S there should not be an issue other than a QF IT one.

Many thanks. I have amended the original post as I managed to find it on logging into my FF account rather than using the flight reference to log in. It has 'contact agent' and the explanation is that my flight may not be confirmed which I suppose that given the fact I only booked it today seems legitimate.

Any advice on the now amended post would be appreciated.

It has not been ticketed yet by the sounds of thing (check on checkmytrip for a ticket number to be sure), you should transfer the points required to the member that has the highest status to help with the request, then put that request in on that members account. Dont forget the points can only be transferred once a year like that from an account.
