Hmm I tried booking this but it seems to be not a free domestic leg at all. Is there a trick to booking it to get the free leg?

was $700AUD.... but AKL-CHC-AKL are onl $100 return and MEL-AKL-MEL is only $360 when booked separetly. I don't understand.

EDIT: never mind, my dates did not quite fit into the travel dates...grrr
