Same booking, reward flight and cash flights

... right, so I'm 99.99% sure you can't do this, but it would be massively convenient right now if I could book a reward seat and 2normal cash seats on the same booking. Main reason is to link us all up to get Economy X (as Mrs G is only SG and Little Miss G is only 3), as I understand if we're not on the same booking we don't get it even if travelling together.

I'm pretty sure this can't be done. Can it? Any tips? Totally happy for people to correct me and show me the way!

Can't you do a Points + Pay? You go through the booking process and when you get to the payment page, use the slider to redeem whatever points you wish to contribute. Not sure if it works on domestic though. We did it this year on an international flight.
