After not visiting the Sunshine Coast for about 30yrs, I recently enjoyed 5 nights here with Mrs RB. Booked direct with the apartments(all 1 bedroom) as they were still cheaper than the wholesalers/online last minutes etc & got to ask for a specific room. We stayed in Room 408 which was a 1 bedroom ocean rooftop apartment. The rooftop deck is private access, very private & had great views to the south, over the beach & to Point Cartwright. Upstairs deck (about 50sq m) has an electric bbq, sun lounges & table & chairs & option of shade or sun. The apartment had Self-contained kitchenette, good shower, washing machine /dryer, reverse air conditioning, ceiling fans, few stations of Austar / DVD. Parking was secure, spacious undercover with penty of room. We didn't see anyone else using the spa or pool while we were there. We had a look at the penthouse room & thought the view was not as good & certainly not worth the extra nightly cost. There are plenty of photos on the apartments website.
I had my own wireless internet but noted here & many apartments on the Sunshine Coast were charging for access. The apartments have much less passing traffic than some located more towards Alexandra Headand. Being straight across a lane from the Surf Club was very convenient although there is a refurb going on there at the moment & the garbage trucks do get around early.
We enjoyed plenty of walking, cheap but good food & jagged great shorts & T shirt weather
