Hi AllFirst post long time lurker.I think I am write in the following.Saver Award rates went up from March 1. But wasn't the quid pro quo(just to add to the Latin theme of a couple of other posts) that there would be more Saver seats available. From the quick look at quite a few destinations I can't see any evidence of it.Am I being cynical???

The promotional material clearly indicates savers in business class will be extended to aircraft where they are not currently offered (ie 380, 77W, 345), for bookings made from 8 March for travel from 1 April onwards. So I wouldn't be surprised if there is no evidence yet there. Let's wait a week to see whether your cynicism is justified or not!

Yep, I noticed no change as well. I think March 8 is the date.

Yep, 8 March is the date. Don't forget it will 04.00 EST when they become available so set your alarm early to grab the few A380 seats available on saver!!!

I was working on 9pm March 7 (three hours before midnight March 8) ???

have been waiting to book J with points from ZCH to SYD with a 3 day stopover in Singapore. logged in today and there is a JASA available for my SGP- SYD leg. Standard J booking for the ZCH-SGP leg. happy with that, as it wasn't available a couple of weeks ago. not A380 of course, but happy with arriving home at 6.55pm, then i don't have to deal with teenage children on a friday night. happy with the 110,500 points, it was 127,500 last week.
now to book Mr KLN CDG-SYD a couple of weeks later...........maybe i'll just leave him there..............hehehehe

I went on last night just after midnight and no change to points, so assumed it would be midnight Singapore time (04.00EST) next week too.
Just a thought

Probably have to wait a bit longer in Qld as without daylight saving we are 20 years and 1 hour behind the rest of Australia !:D
But I am excited !!!!!

Some saver F&J flights to USA appearing on Kris Flyer this morning - both 777,s and the 380. Looks Good ! I'm even more excited !!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

I saw on the 388 but did not see any 77W

I looked SYD to SIN in F & J. SYD SIN leg waitlisted both ways but in J accepted with availability A340 for SYD and 777 from SIN. Nothing much to Europe yet but it is
early days .

I saw SIN-EWR on A340 in SAVER. It is starting to get harder to go to work now that all this flying is possible on SAVER points!

1/ Cynical yes. But premature as well.

Award rates changed on March 1. But introduction of saver J's on the newer jets was scheduled for March 8.

2/ "there would be more Saver seats available " I do not not know what the basis is, but there seems to a presumption from many going on that a lot for Saver J Seats will appear rather that there yes will be additional savers, but most likely just in the newer planes but in the current proportion that you would get on the older planes.

As the newer planes are mainly on the most high demand routes, my presumption is that while Saver J's will yes become available on these routes that they will be snapped up quickly, as SQ will only have a quite limited quantity per plane of Saver J's.

If you want Saver J's on such routes you will most likely need to book well out if you also want to fly at popular times, and on busy routes at most times.

Of course I may be surprised and SQ may be about to be a lot more generous than I think that they will be.

I take all of my skepticism back.

Just booked 4 x J Saver seats LAX-SYD Jan 11. All on the same all J Flight

I thought that was pretty good.

Thank you SIA.

Now to try and get some seats to IST for later this month.

Then I picked up 3x saver for jan next year LHR to MEL (A380 and 777) for 242250 and 2xsaver MEL to LHR for just before christmas (77W again ) 161500 points.
