I hope I have posted this in the right spot. I have a question re earning SC with QF.

I have booked a QF JASA SYD-AYQ-ASP-SYD. When I selected ASP-SYD I selected a flight which goes via Melb. Both legs have a different flight number (QF797 & QF444). Any gurus out there know what the rules are re points and SCs? Do I earn points and SC as Alice to Sydney or is it treated as 2 seperate flights?

Would appreciate any help.

Cheers
James

Because they are different flight numbers they are treated as separate flights for the purposes of calculating SCs. You will earn an extra 20 SCs by going via Melbourne as opposed to go direct to Sydney.

The motto here generally is why fly direct, when you can connect… unless you’re flying Virgin Australia :p
