Dear All,
Just want to run something past members and get a logic check and some advice please.
I am due to fly SYD-LAX-ORD-JFK-ORD-LAX-SYD in J on QF and AA in April. Mileage monkey says I'll earn 640 SC for this, which, plus my current 665 SC, leaves me 95 SC short of WP. One of the ORD-JFK return sectors might be in Y, which would leave me 140 short.
Is mileage monkey reliable?
I need to fly SYD-MEL return for a weekend in March and so thought I would book a JASA status run to make up the shortfall. However this is my first JASA booking and so am looking for some guidance.
I've come up with a SYD-BNE-SYD-MEL-SYD trip (out on thursday 17 back on sunday 20) in J.
This costs 81,970 points. My gut instinct is to use points and pay and pay $269.04 plus 56,000 points. Is this sensible?
This would give me 5,000 points and 160 SC, I think.
Have I missed anything?
Thanks in advance.
Zeit
