Currently platinum and have a January 31 reset date on Qantas.

I am leaving USA on 23/1/13 to come back to Sydney after 6 weeks there

Is there any prospect of an SC run say a few days before I leave, (say 20-22 January) that will leave me SC's landing in my account after 1/2/13?

Happy to pay cash but have pelnty of points on QF to use as well?

Over to the Brains Trust:confused:

In a word no.

While the SCs may take a bit of time to be put into your account they will be credited to the membership year in which they were flown.

I may have had an uniformed QF person on the WP call centre the other day, when I asked if the question about when are SC's counted

"the day you fly or the day they are credited to your account?"

They informed me it was when they are credited to your account!

J* SC's often take quite a while to reach the account

I assumed AA flights may take a little time for the SC's to credit as well

Might be a question for a different thread though?

I did quite a few AA trips earlier this year and most of them came through within days. But always keep your boarding passes until they have posted. Actually you should do this for all flights regardless the of carrier.

It is well established that SCs get credited to the membership year they were earned. Sounds like you got an uniformed call centre operator.

If you are correct, then no point in proceeding with this thread request
