Hi all,

Think I posted this question in the wrong thread a few days ago, hope i didn't break etiquette. if i did, I apologise...

My question is I need 120 SC by the end of June or first week of July, can anyone recommend something. I am new to all this and want to learn, but don't know where to start really....

Thanks

Look for business reward seats to east coast cities and return. Remember that each flight number will earn more status credits, select on lowest cost on that basis. Do this before the end of June.

For example search for Adelaide to Sydney return.

I did one of these TO Adelaide recently. SYD to ADL via MEL return for 33k points and $43. 160SCs ((40+40)x2).

medhead,

Thank you, you have turned on the light for me, really appreciate it...

DeKa,

Nice to know, thanks for the info also...

Of course if you only need 120sc I'd recommend going direct non stop in one direction to enjoy business on slightly longer flight.

Use any points you have for a trip before June 30, redemptions after that won't earn SCs if the current promo is not extended.

I recently did a SC run to get me over the line to silver. I didn't have enough points to get a J reward on all the sectors though. I went SYD - MEL - ADL in Y & returned the same way in J. The lounge & the J service was very much welcomed at the end of a long day for me.

Luckily for me at the time, reward seats earn SC.

I have a lot of points available, I think I might have to go to cairns for a weekend...

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

Hobart if you want just a status run but cairns would indeed be good for a nice weekend away.

J rewards flights

ADL-HBA via MEL - from 37,000pts + $31.45 - 180 SCs
ADL-CNS via BNE - from 57,400pts + $69.90 - 240 SCs

Nice one bullerdude

Hobart. Cascade and seafood. Sounds good hmmm...
Cairns. Imported beer (Coopers) and seafood....

Decisions decisions.
