At last, CBA is introducing its " NameCheck" technology. Far from foolproof but I think will save some people from scams.Hopefully other banks to follow.
The present system of requiring online banking transfer to include a payee name, which banks then ignore, I think tricks people into thinking it would bounce if it doesn't go to that account name.
