PR16 - Press Release - Chine, Here We Come! | FlyScoot.com
Next route is Tianjin, a small city of 12 million people,
about 100km SE of Beijing.
At least they aren't trying the Jetstar trick of calling it (Beijing), like Jetstar does for Hangzhou (Shanghai) -- a mere 180km SW of Shanghai
Jetstar confused over location of Shanghai. Hint: Hangzhou's not in Shanghai. - Flights | hotels | frequent flyer | business class - Australian Business Traveller
Interestingly comments for the AusBT article suggest Air Asia uses Hangzhou (Shanghai) and Tianjin (Beijing)
Again obviously reflects the difficulty of getting landing slots at major airports in China.
Will be interesting to see how Jetstar HK goes.
